This week, we started with Urban Planning and Energy Transition.
I think these two topics are connected and the takeaway I got from these classes was Dreams and ideology is good for change and transition. But don’t forget that it takes time to develop and change bit by bit. We don’t have to change everything all at once if we can’t afford it. But we can change one thing at a time and then integrate it into the existing place.
On Tuesday we went to Plearn Patana School in another part of Bangkok. I was so excited because I knew that it was Born’s former school, one of our cohort 9 friends. I have heard that Plearn Patana is one of the alternative schools I researched about but don’t quite remember the details of the curriculum.
At the school, we had a morning session about Rambler and the Design Thinking system with P’Tem and P’Build the co-founders of Rambler and also AJ Dipendra.
Rambler is the name of a start-up from GSSE graduates inventing smoothy in the vending machine. P’Build is very passionate about organic farming and therefore became to plant trees on his farmland and started this organization to help promote it. We also did some chores on the farmland at school like mixing fertilizer, planting tomatoes, and uprooting the sun hemp to add more nitrogen into the soil.
In the afternoon We did the summaries discussion and traveled back to campus.
On Wednesday we learned about Media Literacy in the morning and went to NECTEC. I think knowledge about making media and consuming media and data is very important in this information era.
In NECTEC we had lectures on AI and technology. I think I don’t have enough information to have opinions on artificial intelligence but I am open to understanding more about them.
